Born in Kolkata in 2002, Pritam Maity began his musical journey with piano and Indian classical vocal training before discovering classical guitar at 15. Largely self-taught, he developed a distinctive style shaped by his deep understanding of harmony, expression, and Indian classical influences. Since making his concert debut in 2022, Pritam has performed at renowned venues across India and Germany, earning recognition for his original compositions and performances.
A prize winner at the National Classical Guitar Competition in Delhi, he has collaborated with leading festivals and institutions, including the Bangalore School of Music and the New India Guitar Festival, establishing himself as a rising voice in India’s classical guitar scene.
