About Event

Cheese Monkey Mafia hosted its first open mic in January 2010 and immediately became a launch pad for many of the comedians that are household names today.

Open mic nights are integral to comedy, it’s where ideas gain fruition and also where they hit the intellectual graveyard. If you wanna become a connoisseur of comedy, you have to add open mics to your comedy diet.

It is also the place where professionals come to test their new material, so who knows, you might get to see the comic whom you’re “the biggest fan of” and get to see the birth of their future viral video.

Furthermore, our cover charge is a nominal amount and gets you a free drink.

Registration process for the comedians: Spots will be allotted via a lottery system.

– We will draw lots, and 7 people will get a 5 minute spot at the open mic, they will be notified via E-mail/SMS 3-4 days prior to the show.

– Spot winners will have to bring 1 person with them who buys a cover for the show.
