**About Dualist Inquiry**
In less than a decade, Sahej Bakshi, better known as Dualist Inquiry, went from a studious music producer to a headlining, game-changing artiste, to a forward-focused music entrepreneur.
He first rose to prominence in what was then an amorphous Indian independent music scene, capturing fans at the intersection of guitar music and rhythmic electronic dance, with a sound that soon came to define his identity as a live act. A full-length debut followed with 2013’s Doppelganger, an album that did as much for Bakshi’s blazing popularity as it did for a legion of budding music producers keen to make it in the industry. Accurately tipped as the leader of the new wave of Indian electronica, Dualist Inquiry helped break down doors at a time when rigidity seemed all but certain to dominate independent music.
By 2017, after having delivered three immensely-popular EPs, a pair of ambitious full length albums and headlining almost every major stage in India, Bakshi retreated into solitude with a conscious goal to learn and evolve, the pressures of being Dualist Inquiry notwithstanding.
Eventually, the time away led to the birth of boxout.fm, an online community radio station he co-founded alongside DJ MoCity, a platform that is making noise for all the correct reasons and has rightfully become a pillar for community-supported initiatives in music. The inspiration garnered from this tangential area of work helped birthed a brand-new chapter for Dualist Inquiry, one bursting with revitalised ideas. 2018 will see him release new music with a brand-new A/V live show in tow, and also venture into the ever-expanding and inspiring world of videography and filmmaking.
