Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav has stepped into a new chapter of his life, off the field. The celebrated left-arm wrist-spinner got engaged to his childhood friend Vanshika in an intimate ceremony held in Lucknow on Wednesday.
The heartwarming ceremony took place in the presence of close family, friends, and a few well-known cricketers from Uttar Pradesh. Among the guests were Team India and Kolkata Knight Riders star Rinku Singh. The couple exchanged rings in a traditional setting, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey together.
Vanshika, a resident of Shyam Nagar, Lucknow, works with LIC. She shares a long-standing bond with Kuldeep that goes back to their early childhood. What began as a close friendship has beautifully blossomed into love over the years, culminating in this joyful engagement.
While this personal milestone brings happiness to Kuldeep’s life, his professional journey remains just as compelling. Fresh off a solid IPL 2025 season with Delhi Capitals, the 30-year-old spinner picked up 15 wickets in 14 matches. He maintained a commendable economy rate of 7.08 and a bowling average of 24.07, with his best figures standing at 3/22, showcasing his consistency and control in the T20 format.
Since his international debut in 2017, Kuldeep has become a key figure in India’s bowling lineup, especially in ODIs, where he has taken over 180 wickets. Known for his deceptive variations and trademark ‘chinaman’ delivery, he continues to be a match-winner with the ball in hand.
As he celebrates love and companionship with Vanshika, Kuldeep now turns his focus to the upcoming England tour. With Team India preparing for crucial red-ball fixtures, the spinner’s experience and flair will be instrumental on foreign soil.
Here’s wishing Kuldeep Yadav and Vanshika a beautiful journey ahead, both on and off the pitch.
