About

I entered Photography purely by chance. after spending a few years with the family business of hardware, I realized I was not cut out to sell locks and handles. There was an urge to give expression to the creative instincts I possessed. I explored different art forms like textiles designing, interiors to sketching, sculpture and tabla playing and finally found my calling in Photography. I have worked with established advertising agencies like JWT, Lintas, Rediffusion - DY&R, Triton, Grey Worldwide, Contract, O&M and others. Some of my clients inlcude Swarovski, for whom I have done some exclusive work. Moet and Chandon, Frazer and Haws, Adidas, Caltex, Samsung, LG, Microsoft, Benetton, Freelook, Airtel, Hutch, China Airlines, NIIT are some of the other brands that I have shot for. Some of the magazines I regularly work are Deutsch Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Elle, Femina, Indiawalli Bride, Society, Savvy, Esteem (Sri Lanka). I work extensively for the top fashion designers across India like Tarun Tahiliani, Rohit Bal, JJ Vallaya, Suneet Varma, Ravi Bajaj and others. I completed a course in film making at the New York Film Academy three years back and my debut film was screened on the television channel, NDTV, Last year. Complementing the creation of images, is my recently launched venture, a graphic design hot shop, Kavasa Studio. I have exhibited my photographs at various places which includes the Soho Gallery in New York, The India Habitat Centre, The British Council and the French Cultural Centre in Delhi to name a few.
