Ibrahim Ali Khan, though just one film old in Bollywood, is already making waves with his candid nature and growing fan base. The young actor, who debuted in Nadaaniyan alongside Khushi Kapoor, recently gave an insightful interview where he opened up about family, fame, and his famous parents — Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh.
In a heartfelt conversation with GQ India, Ibrahim reflected on his parents’ separation and how it shaped his early life. When asked about Saif and Amrita’s divorce, he shared that he was too young—around four or five years old—to fully grasp the situation. “It was very different for my sister Sara, who was older and could understand more,” he explained.
Despite the circumstances, Ibrahim credited his parents for shielding him from the emotional turmoil of a broken home. “My mom and dad did a great job ensuring I didn’t feel the pain. I never saw them lose their temper or fight in front of us,” he said, adding that some relationships simply aren’t meant to last.
What stands out most in the interview is Ibrahim’s mature perspective and warmth towards his blended family. He openly acknowledged, “My dad is much happier with Bebo [Kareena Kapoor Khan], and now I have two very handsome and naughty brothers,” referring to Taimur and Jeh.
He also had high praise for his mother, Amrita Singh, who raised him with love and resilience. Calling her “the best mother ever,” Ibrahim said he continues to live with her and that life with her is “all good.”
On the professional front, Ibrahim’s debut film Nadaaniyan premiered on OTT and explored themes of modern school romance. While his charm drew attention, both the film and his performance received mixed reviews. However, fans can look forward to his next project, Sarzameen, where he’ll star alongside industry veterans Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran.
