Sana Dua – You probably know her as the first runner-up of Femina Miss India 2017. Beauty pageant titleholder, Sana Dua’s journey toward Miss India 2017 is no less than a Bollywood story.

Sana is an Indian lawyer and model who has been named the Face of the Election Commission of Jammu and Kashmir for the Lok Sabha Elections 2019. She was crowned first runner-up at Femina Miss India 2017 and became the state’s first Miss India. In September 2017, she competed in the Miss United Continents 2017 pageant in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and finished in the top ten.
Sana Dua was named Femina Style Miss Diva North in 2016. She has worked significantly on Jammu’s Save Water Campaign.
The name Sana is Muslim but she was born in 1993 in the Indian state of Assam to a Sikh family with origins in Jammu and Kashmir. Her father’s name is Amrik Dua served in the Indian Army. Mother’s name is Neenu Dua, she is a homemaker. Moreover, Sana’s elder brother Varun Dua is a software engineer.

Sana studied at Army Public School Noida for five years. She completed her law degree at Punjab University in Chandigarh. She was a lawyer before stepping into the spotlight in 2015. Sana interned with an advocate in the Jammu and Kashmir High Court for a year. Sana Dua was named Femina Style Miss Diva North in 2016. She has worked significantly on Jammu’s Save Water Campaign.
Sana’s graduation from law school was a turning point in her life, she says since it forced her to analyze and grasp the violence against women. “When I enrolled in a law study at Panjab University in Chandigarh, I wanted to be aware of my rights. But I soon realized that I could transform people’s lives by using laws that most women in this nation are unaware of,” she says.

Sana just opened a shop in Jammu, India for Hatil, a famous global furniture brand from Bangladesh.

In 2019, she launched her own company, Image And Beyond By Sana Dua, to assist young girls in discovering their real potential in modeling and pageantry.
